Editor's Notes:
Just a little warning, these pictures are a little more gruesome than you are used to seeing here.
Call me weak, but I'm having trouble finding levity in these pictures, well...except for the mustache...just kidding, I know it was the style at the time. Anyway. I'm sure these pictures weren't sent in to make any kind of political statement, so keep in mind that the Editor's comments aren't necessarily the view of the submitter.
I don't have a real agenda here, but as our nation considers war yet again, these pictures are especially relevant. I'll admit I'm a little left of center, but I do understand that war is sometimes inevitable. It's how this country was born and if that's what it takes to keep it together, then so be it.
But by looking at pictures like these you can put yourself, your son, your friends right into them. Then you can get a clearer answer to the question, "Has my government done enough through diplomacy and non-violent methods to warrant people going through this?" If the answer is yes, then it's yes, but these kinds of pictures (and there are many like them out there) might help you decide.
P.S.- Don't forget Veteran's Day (11/11/2002). Thanks to all those who have served.
