Eggroll Burn
----Begin E-Mail----
This nice little wound happened to me 6 months ago when I was trying to cook some eggrolls. The grease went up in a huge fireball and I franticly and stupidly grabbed the skillet to get it
out of the house as I thought the flames would soon reach the cabinets. It was
so hot that I had to drop it on the counter causing it to splash the flaming grease all over my thumb and index finger, it also got my leg a little. I have since sworn off using oil to cook!
The wound is nearly undetectable today with just a faint light colored scar on the index finger.

Editor's Notes:
Not cook with oil?! I know that was a bad burn, but come on man, you've got to work past this. Not only are all the best foods fried (or friable at least), you are also depriving us of a renewable energy source. That's right, biodiesel, made from used cooking oil. I didn't even know it existed and you are already off my list of oil suppliers. That's okay, I don't need your oil, I've got plenty of contacts. In fact, this conversation has prompted me to action. Tomorrow I'm trading in my non-existent Hydrogen powered vehicle for an unfillable Biodiesel vehicle. You've convinced me to fight the good fight.
Actually, I've quit frying things at home too thanks to a couple small range top fires. They weren't bad, but close enough calls for me to grill the chicken wings from then on.
Speaking of cooking oils, did you know that Canola oil comes from the rape seed. Now you know why they renamed it Canola. Can you imagine...
Wife: "Why don't you ever cook dinner anymore?"
Husband: "I'd be glad to cook, get out the rape oil and I'll start working on the meat."
Wife: "Uh, on second thought, why don't we just go out to eat tonight?"
Well, glad it healed, and now you'll live longer from not eating fried foods, so good news all around!
