message: My old-fashioned pediatrician actually had me get the small pox vaccine in 1980, when I was two years old. I got so sick from it, I had to go to the hospital, and still have a scar on my right shoulder from the injection. The "scar" is a wide-spread patch of brownish bumpy spots that take up most of my shoulder. That vaccine is nasty, and can be dangerous, but is better than the alternative.
